Chapter 16: (Introduction to the Gospels, Coding Reference)
1And the Pharisees and Sadducees, having come forward having contested interrogated him to have exhibited to them a sign out of the universe.
2Moreover the one, having replied, said to them, {Upon} evening becoming you say fair weather for the skya is fiery red; 3and early today stormy weather for the skya, having a gloomy, lowering look, is fiery red. ╓Expounders!╖ You know indeed experientially the face of the skya; moreover you are not being able to distinguish the signs of the critical timesb. 4A base generation and an adulteress craves a sign, and a sign will not be freely given it except the sign of a Jonah, the prophet.
And he, having left them, went forth. 5And the adherents of him, having come into the one on the other side, forgot to have taken the loaves of bread.
6Moreover the Jesus said to them, Observe you, and be you concernedc from the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
7Moreover the ones were debating within themselves saying, Because we have not taken the loaves of bread.
8Moreover the Jesus, having known experientially, said to them, {The ones} diminished complete confidence and total trust! Why are you debating within yourselvesd because you ╓took╖ ┌have┐ not loaves of bread? 9You are not yet apprehending; nor are you calling to mind the five loaves of bread of the ones five thousand, and how many baskets you took; 10nor the seven loaves of bread of the ones four thousand, and how many hand-baskets you took. 11How are you not apprehending? Because I did not say to you concerning a loaf of bread; ╓to be concernedc╖ ┌moreover be you concernedc┐ from the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
12At that time they comprehended thoroughly because he did not say to be concernedc from the yeast of the ╓loaf╖ ┌loaves┐ of bread, but from the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
13Moreover the Jesus, having come into the districts of a Caesarea of the Philip, he was asking the adherents of him saying, Whom are the humanity saying ╓me╖ to be, the son of the humanity?
14Moreover the ones said, Indeed the ones {say}: {some}a John the purifier; moreover {the ones} otheran Elijah; moreover {the ones} other differenta Jeremiah or one of the prophets.
15He says to them, You! Moreover whom are you saying me to be?
16Moreover a Simon Peter, having replied, said, You are the one anointed, the son of the god, the one living.
17And the Jesus, having replied, said to him, Happy are you, a Simon, a son-of-a Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal to you but the father of me, the one within the universes.
18And moreover I say to you, That you are a Peter; and upon this, the rock, I will build the duly summoned assembly of me; and the entrances of a place of the departed spirits will not overpower it. 19And I freely give to you the lock of the dominion of the universes, not only if what you would bind upon the land, it, having had been bound, will be within the universes; but also if what you would loose upon the land, it, having had been loosed, will be within the universes. 20Then he admonished the adherents ╓of him╖, So that they might say nothing that he, ╓a Jesus╖, is the one anointed.
21From at that time the Jesus began to informe the adherents of him, That it is needful for him to have come forth into a Jerusalem, and to have suffered much from the elders and chief priests and the scribes, and to have been killed, and to have been awakened the third day. 22And the Peter, having taken him aside, began to censure him saying, Gracious to you sir, by no means will this be to you.
23Moreover the one, having been turned, said to the Peter, Depart you back of me, adversary, you are a stumbling-block of me because you are not minded to the ones of the god, but the ones of the humanity.
24At that time Jesus said to the adherents of him, Anyone who is desiring to have come back of me, let he deny himself utterly, and let he lift up the cross of him, and let he follow me. 25For ┌if┐ who would desire to rescue the soul of him, he will release it; moreover who would release his soul on account of possessed by me, he will find it. 26For what is a person derived profit, if he would gain the whole world-order; moreover he might be caused loss of the soul of him; or what will a person give freely {into} an exchange of the soul of him? 27For the son of the humanity intends to come within the renown of the father of him with the universal messengers of him; at that time he will give forth to each in accordance with the action of him. 28Truly I say to you, Some ╥, have had stood╥ of {the ones} ┬have had been standing┬ ┌having had stood┐ here are whosoever by no means might taste death until they would observe the son of the humanity coming within the dominion of him.
_____
aThe Greek is οὐρανός, ouranos meaning universe, heaven, usually used to refer to place of the father, the one in the universes, and as such being a much more extensive area than just what is visible to the eye, contextually here it is referring to the sun setting and creating a fiery glow in the clouds, thus the more limiting term sky.
bThe Greek is καιρός, kairos, meaning due measure or when time inferred critical time, season, opportune time; thus contextually distinguish the time critical for change of heart and mind because the dominion of the universes was at hand.
cThe Greek is προςέχω, prosechō, meaning have besides, however the context is be concerned of what follows in this passage.
dThe Greek is reflexive 3rd person plural, however contextually it is 2nd person plural thus that translation.
eThe Greek is δείκνυμι, deichnumi, meaning bring to light, show forth, display, inform, contextually the latter is better than my normal usage of display.
