Matthew Chapter 11: (Introduction to the Gospels, Coding Reference)

1And it became when the Jesus, designating the twelve adherents of him, finished, he transitioned thence {out-of} the-one to teach and to proclaim within the cities of them.

2Moreover the John having heard within the jail the works of the-one anointed, having sent {the-ones} two of the adherents of him; 3he said to him, “Are you the-one coming, or are we expecting {the-one} other-different?”

4The Jesus, having replied, said to them, “Having been proceeded, report you to a John which you are hearing, and you are seeing. 5{The-ones} blind are gazing; and {the-ones} lame are walking; and {the-ones} leprous are being cleansed; and {the-ones} deaf are hearing; and {the-ones} dead are being awakened; and {the-ones} begging are being brought-good-news; 6and happy is he if-whoever might not be stumbled within me.”

7Moreover {upon} these proceeding, the Jesus began to say to the crowds concerning a John, “Which did you go-forth into the-one uninhabited to have viewed? A reed being vibrated from-under the wind!

8But which did you go-forth to have observed? A person having had been dressed within soft ╓outer-garments╖ ┌{outer-garments}┐! Lo the-ones wearing the-ones soft are within the homes of the ╓dominions╖ ┌kings┐!”

9But which did you go-forth to have observed? A prophet! Certainly! Also I say to you more-extraordinary than a prophet. 10For this-one is concerning whom it has been written, “Lo! I send-authoritatively the universal-messenger of me before a face of you who will prepare the way of you in-front-of you. 11Truly I say to you, ‘He has not been raised within {the-ones} begotten of women greater than a John, the purifier; moreover the-one lower in the dominion of the universes is greater than him.

12Moreover from the days of a John, the purifier, until just-now, the dominion of the universes is being argued-vehemently; and {the-ones} violent are grasping-it-with-the-senses‹a›. 13For all the prophets and the law prophesied until a John; 14and if you desire to have welcomed, he is an Elijah, the-one intending to come. 15Having ears to hear, let the one hear!

      16Moreover with which will I resemble this, the generation? It is similar to ┬young-children┬ ╔young-children‹b›╗ being-seated in ┌the┐ market-places ╓and╖ ┌who┐ vocalizing to the ┬the comrades┬ ╔the-ones others-different╗ ╓of them╖, 17╓and╖ saying, “We played-on-the-flute to you, and you did not dance. We sang-a-dirge ╓to you╖, and you did not strike-yourselves-in-grief‹c›

18For a John, neither eating nor drinking, came; and they are saying, “He has an inferior-divine-being.” 19The son of the humanity, eating and drinking, came; and they are saying, “Lo! A person: a glutton and a wine-bibber, {the-one} friendly-loving of toll-collectors and {the-ones} of-bad-characters; and practical-wisdom was set-right from the children of her.”

20At-that-time he began to reproach the cities within which the most powers of him became because they did not change-their-mind-and-heart. 21“Ah!-Woe! To you a Chorizan! Ah!-Woe! To you a ╒Bethsaidan!╕ ╥Bethsaida!╥ Because if the powers, the-ones having become within you, became within a Tyre and a Sidon long-ago; within a coarse-garment-of-hair and a wood-ashes they would change-their-mind-and-heart. 22Nevertheless, I say to you, ‘More-bearable it will be to a Tyre and a Sidon within a day of a judgment than to you

23And you, a ╓Capernaum, the-one until the universe, has been lifted-high╖ ┌Capharnaum until a universe will be not lifted-high┐; you ╓will be forced-to-come-down╖ ┌will descend┐ until a place of the departed spirits because if the powers, the ones having become within you, ╓became╖ ┌was become┐ within a Sodom, they would stay even-to the one today. 24Nevertheless, I say to you, ‘That more-bearable it will be to a land of a Sodom within a day of a judgment than you

25Within that, the appropriate-time‹d› the Jesus, having replied, said, “Father, lord of the universe and the earth, I confess to you that you ╓concealed╖ ┌hid┐ these from {the-ones} practical-wisdom and {the-ones} intelligent, and you revealed them to {the-ones} unintelligent. 26Certainly, the father because thus a contentment became in-front-of you. 27From-under the father of me {the-ones} all was handed-over to me; and no-one recognizes the son except the father; nor does someone recognize the father except the son, and to if-whoever, the son may will, to have revealed.

28Come towards me! All the-ones growing-weary and having had been laid-a-burden-on, and-I will make {them} cease {into} you! 29Lift-up you the crossbar‹e› of me onto you, and learn you from me because I am mild and humble of heart, and find you a relaxation to the soul of you. 30For the crossbar‹e› of me {is} good-for-its-purpose, and the load of me {upon you} is light-to-bear.

_____

‹a›The Greek is ἁρπάζω, harpazō, meaning snatch, carry off, plunder, but also captivate, grasp with the senses contextually thus it is the latter.

‹b›The Greek is παιδίον, paidion meaning toddler, child of either sex, however in this context it would young children using their imaginations in play.

‹c›The Greek is κόπτω, koptō, meaning smite, cut off, strike oneself in grief as in mourning; contextually the meaning is to strike oneself in grief.

‹d›The Greek is καιρός, kairos, meaning due measure or when time inferred critical time, season, opportune time; thus contextually appropriate time as a much future time is implied.

‹e›The Greek is ζυγός, zygos, meaning a binding that ties two things together so that one moves the other also moves, such as a yoke upon a team of horses or oxen, the balance beam of a double-pan scales, the crossbar of a building or ship holding the two sides together. When used on a team of animals, the yoke is such that it does not come off but also will not chafe the skins of the animals. Thus in this application the crossbar may be said to be effective, useful, good for its purpose, or viewed toward the Greek gods as propitious, merciful, bestowing of benefits.
