Chapter 7: (Introduction to the Gospels, Coding Reference)

        1Judge you not so that you might not be judged; 2for within what a judgment you judge, you will be judged; and within what a standard of judgment you measure, ┬it will be measured out in turn┬ ╔it will be measured╗ to you.

      3Moreover why do you see the bit of straw, the one within the eye of the brother of you,? Moreover you are not intuiting the bearing-beam within the eye possessed by you. 4Or how will you say to the brother of you, dismiss you? I will cast forth the bit of straw from the eye of you and lo the bearing-beam within the eye of you. 5Expounder! Cast you forth first the bearing-beam out of the eye of you, at that time you will see clearly to cast forth the bit of straw out of the eye of the brother of you.

      6You might not give freely the one sacred to the dogs, nor might you cast the pearls of you you in front of the young pigs lest perchance they ╓might trample╖ ┌will trample┐ within the feet of them, and they, having been turned, might rend you.

      7Request you for yourself, and it will be given freely to you; seek you, and you will find; knock you, and it will be opened to you. 8For all the one requesting for himself is receiving, and the one seeking is finding, and to the one knocking it will be opened;

      9or who from you is a person whom if his son ╓would request for himself╖ ┌will request for himself┐ a loaf of bread, he will deliver him not a stone; 10┌or┐ and if he ╓would request for himself╖ ┌will request for himself┐ a fish, he will deliver him not a serpent.

      11Then if you, being base, know to give freely good gifts to the children of you, {within the one} how much more exceedingly the father of you, the one within the universes, will give freely good {gifts} to the ones {who} are requesting him for themselves.

      12Then, {the ones} all as great as you would desire so that the humanity may do to you; thus also, you do to them for this is the law and the prophets.

      13Enter you through the narrow entrance, because the wide entrance, and the spacious way, the one leading forth into the destruction; and many are the ones entering though it; 14howa narrow the entrance, and the way having had been squeezed, the one leading forth, into the real and genuine life, and few are the ones finding it.

      15Moreover be you concerned about messagesb from false prophets whosoever coming towards you within clothing of sheep, moreover from-within they are wolves, embezzlers. 16From the fruit of them you will recognize them whether perchance they collect ╓a cluster of grapes╖ ┌clusters of grapes┐ from thornbushes or figs from worn tracks; 17thus all a good tree makes excellent fruit, moreover the poor quality tree makes base fruit; 18a good tree is not able to make base fruit, nor a poor quality tree to make excellent fruit. 19All a tree not making an excellent fruit is being cut forth, and it is being cast into a fire. 20Surely from the fruit of them you will recognize them.

      21Not all the one saying to me, ‘Sir, sir, will enter into the dominion of the universes; but the one doing the will of the father of me, the one within ┌the┐ universes.’ 22Many within that, the day, will say, ‘Sir, sir did we not prophesy with the name possessed by you, and did we {not} cast forth inferior divine beings with the name possessed by you, and did we {not} do many powers with the name possessed by you?’ 23And at that time I will concede to them because not even ever experientially knowing you, “Withdraw you from me the ones working lawlessness!”

        24Then {the one} all whosoever hears these words of me, and he is doing them, I will ╓resemble╖ ┌be resembling┐ him to a sensible man whosoever built the house of him onto the rock. 25And the inundation descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew, and they assaultedc that house; and it did not fall for its foundations had been laid firmly onto the rock.

      26And all the one hearing these words of me, and not doing them, he will be resembled to a stupid man whosoever built the house of him onto the sandy ground. 27And the inundation descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew, and they struck againstc that, the house; and it fell, and its collapse was great.

      28And it became when the Jesus ╓completed╖ ┌finished┐ these, the words, the crowds were being astounded upon the teaching of him, 29for he, teaching them, was as having authority and not as the scribes ┌of them┐.

_____

aThe Greek is τί, ti, the neuter interrogative pronoun being used as an adverb meaning how.

bThe Greek is προςέχω, prosechō, meaning have besides, however the context is be alert or concerned about messages sounding true but are false or having half truths; thus the translation of be concerned about messages.

cEven though the same forces are used in verses 25 and 27 the Greek words imply a greater degree of energy in an attempt to destruct the house for verse 25 relative to verse 27. In verse 25 the Greek is προσπίπτω, prospiptō meaning literally to fall towards, i.e. attack, assault, also used to prostrate or to fall to another’s feet, and in verse 27 the Greek is προσκόπτω, proskoptō meaning literally to cut toward, i.e. strike against.
