Mark Chapter 15: (Introduction to the Gospels, Coding Reference)

 

        1And ╓immediately onto the-one╖ ┌straightway┐ at-morn the chief-priests and the whole council, having made counsel with the-ones elder and the scribes, having bound the Jesus, brought -forth {him} and they handed-over him to ╓the╖ ┌a┐ Pilate.

      2And the Pilate interrogated him, “Are you the king of the-ones Israelite?”

      Moreover the-one, having replied, ╓said╖ ┌says┐ to him, “Do you say?”

      3And the chief-priests were accusing him mightily.

      4Moreover the Pilate again ╓interrogated╖ ┌was interrogating┐ him saying, “Are you not replying nothing? Observe you how-great they ╓are testifying-against╖ ┌are accusing┐ you

      5Moreover the Jesus no-longer replied nothing, therefore to marvel the Pilate.

      6Moreover in-accordance-with a feast he was releasing to them one captive ╓, the-very-one-whom; they were requesting-for-themselves╖ ┌whom they were interceding-for┐. 7Moreover the-one, having been bound, being called‹a› a Barabbas, was with the ╓fellow-revolutionists╖ ┌revolutionists┐ whosoever had done a murder within the revolution. 8And the crowd, ╓having bewailed╖ ┌having ascended┐, began to have requested-for-themselves according-as he was ╓ever╖ doing with them.

      9Moreover the Pilate replied to them saying, “Do you desire I will release to you the king of the-ones Israelite?” 10For he was knowing-experientially that the chief-priests had handed-over him because-of a malice.

      11Moreover the chief-priests instigated the crowd so-that he might release more-exceedingly to them the Barabbas. 12Moreover the Pilate, having replied again, ╓said╖ ┌was saying┐ to them, “Then which do you desire {so-that} I might do {onto} whom you are saying, ‘╓A╖ ┌The┐ king of the-ones Israelite?’ ”

      13Moreover again the-ones screamed, “Crucify you him!”

      14Moreover the Pilate was saying to them, “For which bad did he do?”

      Moreover the-ones ╓more-extraordinarily╖ ┌remarkably┐ screamed, “Crucify you him!”

      15Moreover the Pilate, willing to have done the-one sufficing‹b› to the crowd, released the Barabbas to them; and he, having scourged the Jesus, handed-over {him} so-that he might be crucified.

      16Moreover the soldiers lead-forth him within the courtyard which is a praetorium, and they convoke the whole cohort. 17And they ╓clothe╖ ┌attire┐ a purple-garment {unto} him, and they, having interlaced a thorny wreath, place-around to him. 18And they began to welcome-kindly him, “Hail you! ╓The╖ ┌A┐ king of the-ones Israelite!” 19And they were beating the head of him with a reed, and they were spitting-upon him, and they, placing the knees, were making-obeisance to him.

        20And when they had mocked him, they stripped-off the purple-garment, and they clothed {onto} him the outer-garments ╓, the-ones his-own╖ ┌of him┐; and they led-forth him so-that they might crucify him.

      21And they pressed-in-service someone traveling, a Simon, {the-one} Cyrenian, the father of an Alexander and a Rufus, coming from a field so-that he might lift-up the cross of him, 22and the-ones bring him onto a place, ╓a╖ ┌the┐ Golgotha, which, being translated a place of a skull, is.

      23And they were giving-freely to him ╓to drink╖ wine, having had been drugged-with-myrrh, moreover ╓which he╖ ┌who┐ did not take.

      24And ┬they, having crucified him, casting a lot onto them which {the -one} which‹c› he might lift-up, were dividing┬ ┌they crucified him, and they, casting a lot onto them which {the-one} which‹c› he might lift-up, divide┐ ╥they, having crucified, casting a lot onto them which {the-one} which‹c› he might lift-up, divide╥ the outer-garments of him;.

25Moreover it was the third hour‹d›, and they crucified him.

      26And an inscription, having had been inscribed of the motive of him, was, “The king of the-ones Israelite.”

      27And with him they crucify two plunderers, one out-of {the-ones} on-the-right-hand and one out-of {the-ones} on-the-left-hand of him.

      ╓28And the writing was fulfilled, the-one saying, “And he was counted‹e› with {the-ones} lawless.╖

      29And the-ones, journeying-by, inflecting the heads of them, were slandering him and saying, “Ah!-Ha! The-one demolishing the sanctuary and building {it} within three days; 30rescue you yourself ╓, and descend you╖ ┌having descended┐ from the cross!”

      31And in-like-manner the chief-priests with the scribes, mocking towards one-another were saying, “He rescued {the-ones} others; he is-being-able not to have rescued himself! 32The-one anointed, the king of ╓the╖ ┌a┐ Israel, let he descend now from the cross! So-that we might observe, and we might have-complete-confidence-and-be-totally-entrusting ╥him╥.” And the-ones, having had been-crucified-together ╓with╖ ┌with┐ him, were reproaching him.

      33╓Moreover╖ ┌And┐ {upon} having become the sixth hour‹d› darkness became onto the whole land until the ninth hour‹d›. 34And {upon} the ┌ninth┐ hour‹d› ╓, the-one ninth,╖ Jesus exclaimed with a very-loud‹f› voice ╓saying╖, “Eloi! Eloi! Lema sabachthani!” Which, being translated, is, “The god of me! The god of me! Into which! You abandoned me?”

      35And having heard some of the-ones having been standing-by‹g› were saying, “╓Lo!╖ ┌Observe you!┐ Is he summoning an Elijah?”

      36Moreover ╓one╖ ┌someone┐, having run and having soaked‹h› a sponge with poor wine, ╓and╖ having placed around a reed, was furnishing him liquid;{someone} saying, “Dismiss you! Might we observe if an Elijah is coming to have taken him down?”

      37Moreover the Jesus, having dismissed a very-loud‹f› voice, breathed-out. 38And the temple-veil of the sanctuary was split into {the-ones} two, from the top-to-bottom‹i›.

        39Moreover the centurion, having observed that thus he, having screamed, breathed-out, the-one standing-by‹g› out-of {the-one} opposing him, said, “In-reality this, the person, was a son of a god.”

      40Moreover also women, having ascertained from at-a-distance, were within who was also Mary, the-one Magdalene; and Mary, the mother of ╓the╖ ┌a┐ James, the-one short‹j›, and a Joses; and a Salome. 41╓And who╖ ┌Who┐, when he was within the Galilee, were following him; and they were serving him; and the-ones many other [women] having ascended with him into a Jerusalem.

      42And {upon} an evening already having become, whereas it was a preparation which is the eve-of-the-Sabbath [Passover]; 43A Joseph, the-one from an Arimathea, an honorable councilor {of the Israelites}, who also himself accepting the dominion of the god, was; he, having had the courage, ╓came, {and} he╖ ┌having come,┐ entered towards a Pilate, and he requested-for-himself the body of the Jesus. 44Moreover the Pilate marveled that he has already died, and having called-forward‹k› the centurion he interrogated him if he deceased long-ago; 45and having known-experientially from the centurion he granted the body to the Joseph.

      46And he, having bought a fine-linen-cloth ╓and╖ having taken-down him, enveloped him {within} the fine-linen-cloth, and he ╓deposited╖ ┌placed┐ him within a sepulcher which having had been hewn out of rock, was; and he rolled a stone unto the entry of the sepulcher.

      47Moreover the Mary the-one Magdalene and a Mary ┌the-one┐ of a Joses were ascertaining where he ╓is placed╖ ┌has been placed┐.

‹a›The Greek is λέγω, legō, meaning to say but the context here is to name which is commonly stated to call.

‹b›The Greek is ἱκανός, hikanos, meaning sufficing, competent, considerable; thus contextually sufficing.

‹c›The Greek τίς τί, tis ti may be interpreted as two questions blended into one and thus could be translated which-each.

‹d›The Greek is ὥρα, hōra meaning any period of time, season, year, fitting time; thus contextually hour as the time of action within a day is implied.

‹e›The Greek is λογίζομαι, logizomai, meaning to count, consider, conclude by reasoning the context is to be numbered among thus to count.

‹f›The Greek is μέγας, megas meaning great, thus, contextually for voice very loud.

‹g›The Greek is παρίστημι, paristēmi meaning stand by, help, dispose, supply, compare; thus contextually stand-by.

‹h›The Greek is γεμίζω, gemizō, meaning fill full of, stuff, gorge, contextually for a sponge to soak.

‹i›The Greek is ἄνωθεν ἕως κάτω, anōthen heōs katō meaning from above until downwards; thus top to bottom.

‹j›The Greek is μικρός, mikros, meaning short, little for size or quantity. This is usually translated “Less” possible comparing to the other James, but I can see this being also a comparison of heights, thus short. If truly “Less” the comparative form would make more sense. 

‹k›The Greek is προσκαλέω, proskaleō, meaning call forward, address, contextually the centurion is not expected to be near Pilate so called-forward is better than address.
