John Chapter 17: (Introduction to the Gospels, Coding Reference)

1╓The╖ ┌A┐ Jesus spoke these, and he ╓aroused╖ ┌, having aroused┐ the eyes of him into the universe, ╓and he╖ said, “Father, the fitting-time‹a› has come, make-renowned you the son of you, so-that ╓also╖ the son ╓of you╖ might make-renowned you. 2According-as you gave-freely to him a governance‹b› of an all flesh [humanity] so-that {the-one} all which you have given-freely to him, he ╒might give-freely╕ ╥will give-freely╥ to them a real-and-genuine-life lasting-for-an-eon. 3Moreover, this is the real-and-genuine- life lasting-for-an-eon so-that they may know-experientially you, the alone true god and whom you sent-authoritatively, an anointed Jesus.

4I made-renowned you upon the earth; I consummated the work which you have given-freely me so-that I might do╖. 4I, having consummated the work which you have given-freely me so-that I might do, made-renowned you upon the earth.┐ 5And now you, father, make-renowned you me beside the renown of yourself which I was having beside you before the-one to be {into} the world-order.

6I manifested the name of you to the humanity, whom you ╓have given-freely╖ ┌gave-freely┐ to me out-of the world-order; they were with you, and you ╓have given-freely╖ ┌gave-freely┐ them to me. And they have heeded the word of you. 7Now they have known-experientially that you have given-freely to me {the-ones} all as-much-asis╖ ┌are┐ beside you; 8that I have given-freely to them the messages which you ╓have given-freely╖ ┌gave-freely┐ to me, and they received; and in-reality they knew-experientially that I came-forth beside you, and they had-complete-confidence-and-were-totally-entrusting that you sent-authoritatively me.

9I am asking concerning them, I am not asking concerning the world-order, but concerning whom you have given-freely me because they are with you. 10And the-ones possessed-by-me is {the-ones} all possessed-by-you, and the-ones possessed-by-you {is the-ones} possessed-by-me; and I have made-renowned you within them.

11And I am no-longer within the world-order; and ╓these╖ ┌they┐ are within the world-order; ╓and I╖ ┌and-I┐ am coming towards you. Father, {the-one} sacred, preserve you‹c› within the name of you them ┬whom┬ ╔with which you have given-freely to me so-that they may be one according-as we {are one}.

12When I was with them ╓within the world-order╖, I was preserving‹c› them within the name of youwhom╖ ┌with which you have given-freely me, ┌and┐ I maintained, and no-one destroyed-utterly out-of them except the son of destruction so-that the writing might be fulfilled.

13Moreover, now I am coming towards you, I speak these within the world-order so-that they may have the joy, the-one possessed-by-me, having had been fulfilled within ╓them╖ ┌themselves┐. 14I gave-freely them the word of you, and the world-order abhorred them because they are not out-of the world-order according-as I am not out-of the world-order.

      15I ask so-that you might not lift-up them out-of the world-order, but so-that you might preserve‹c› them out-of the-one base. 16They are not out-of the world-order; according-as I am not out-of the world-order. 17Consecrate you‹d› them within the truth ╓of you╖; the word, the-one possessed-by-you, is a truth. 18According-as you sent-authoritatively me into the world-order; also-I have sent-authoritatively them into the world-order.

19And on-behalf-of them I consecrate‹d› myself so-that they, having had been consecrated‹d› within a truth, may be also.

20Moreover not concerning these only do I ask, but also concerning the-ones, ┬be having┬ ╔having╗-complete-confidence-and-being-totally-entrusting into me through the word of them, 21so-that {the-ones} all may be one, according-as you, father, within me, and-I within you; so-that also they may be ╓one╖ within us; so-that the world-order may have-complete-confidence-and-be-totally-entrusting that you sent-authoritatively me. 22╓Also I╖ ┌Also-I┐ have given-freely to them the renown which you gave-freely to me so-that they may be one according-as we ╓are╖ ┌{are}┐ one. 23I within them, and you within me; so-that they, having had been consummated into one, may be so-that the world-order may know-experientially that you sent-authoritatively me; and you loved-affectionately them, according-as you loved-affectionately me. 24Father, ╓whom╖ ┌whichyou have given-freely me, I desire so-that where I am, also-those may be with me, so-that they may ascertain the renown, the-one possessed-by-me which you ╓gave-freely╖ ┌have given-freely┐ to me because you loved-affectionately me before the founding of a world-order.

25Righteous father, also the world-order did not know-experientially you; moreover I knew-experientially you, and these knew-experientially you because you sent-authoritatively me; 26and I commended the name of you to them; and I will commend so-that the affectionate-love, which you loved-affectionately me, may be within them and-I within them.

_____

‹a›The Greek is ὥρα, hōra meaning any period of time, season, year, fitting time; thus contextually a fitting time as an unknown time is implied.

‹b›The Greek is ἐξουσία, exousia meaning the power of rule or government, i.e. the power of one whose will and commands must obeyed. This is often translated authority, however governance has less ambiguity.

‹c›The Greek is τηρέω, tēpeō meaning guard, heed, preserve; thus contextually preserve against change or loss.

‹d›The Greek is ἁγιάξω, hagiazo meaning to render sacred or consecrate, i.e. set apart for or dedicate to a divinity. Religious practices ritually purify whatever is going to be so dedicated to a divinity thus if one is dedicated to a divinity one must not only ceremonially purified on the outside but more importantly Jesus us saying internally.
